Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) organised inspections of foods (365 batches) and found out 7 batches unqualified. 3 food categories were involved, which were meat products, edible agricultural products and cakes & pastries.
The unqualified reasons were microbial contamination (involving 1 batch of meat product sold on Taobao.com), pesticides and veterinary drug residue issue (involving 3 batches of edible agricultural products sold offline), food additive issue (involving 1 batch of meat product sold on Tmall.com and 1 batch of cake (imported from Spain) sold offline) and quality index issue (involving 1 batch of pastry sold on JD.com)
